Hong Kong is due to get its next mall in 2024, when the Millennity opens in Kwun Tong later this year. According to local media reports, the 10-storey mall will be spread across 500,000 square feet in one of the two 20-storey towers that make up the Sun Hung Kai Properties project.

The mall will feature a variety of recreational spaces, as well as shopping and dining venues, including open-air dining and platform gardens on the 9th and 10th floors. Both buildings of The Millennity will harness renewable energy and offer visitors and office-goers plenty of green space. There will be around 400 parking spaces in the basement, as well as a number of electric vehicle charging spots.

The shopping mall, which is on the site of the former KMB depot at 98 How Ming Street, is conveniently located between the Kwun Tong and Ngau Tau Kok MTR stations. There is also a pedestrian bridge connecting it to Millennium City Phase 6, another Sun Hung Kai Properties project.

Hong Kong saw the opening of two major malls in 2023, and the soft launch of a third at the end of the year. The first was the MTR mall, The Wai, which opened in July and has the distinction of being the only large-scale mall in Tai Wai. Later in the year, Airside mall opened on the site of Kai Tak airport, while The Southside opened its first phase in December.
