A new rooftop attraction has arrived in Kowloon Bay, giving shoppers and visitors a reason to head upstairs before going home.
Mega Sky, located on Level 18 of MegaBox, combines panoramic city views, landscaped outdoor space and nightly visual shows. It is free to visit and designed as an easy stop for families, couples and keen photographers alike this summer.
A 30,000-Square-Foot Garden Above Kowloon Bay
Spanning more than 30,000 square feet, Mega Sky is billed as East Kowloon’s largest high-altitude leisure space. The rooftop features floor-to-ceiling glass panels that open up 270-degree views across Victoria Harbour and the surrounding skyline.
Visitors can expect a very different mood depending on the hour, from bright daytime panoramas to golden sunsets and neon-lit city scenes. Trees, flowers and open green lawns soften the urban setting, while seating areas make it easy to pause and take in the view.
Marine Life And Flowers Light Up The Rooftop Nightly
The rooftop changes character after sunset, when its nightly light-and-shadow displays begin. The Light-and-Shadow Aquarium projects whales, sea turtles, manta rays and jellyfish across the outdoor space, with music adding to the sense of immersion.
A separate Floral Illusion Show uses colourful projections and floral imagery to create a softer, more romantic atmosphere. Together, the two displays give visitors more than just a skyline to photograph and should be especially popular with children and couples.
Shows are scheduled from 7.30pm to 9pm every evening, although timings may change depending on the weather and on-site conditions on any given night outdoors.
