After 15 years away from the city, beloved Japanese lifestyle store LOFT is preparing to return to Hong Kong with a new shop at MOKO shopping mall in Mong Kok East. The one-year pop-up is expected to open in late August, giving local fans another place to browse the stationery, beauty products, homeware and lifestyle goods many associate with Japan trips again soon.
LOFT Lifestyle Store
LOFT is one of Japan’s best-known lifestyle retailers, with more than 180 stores across the country. It is especially popular for stationery, beauty products, kitchenware, home accessories, seasonal gifts and clever everyday items that are easy to pick up and hard to leave behind.
The chain has become a regular stop for Hongkongers travelling to Japan, partly because of its colourful displays and carefully arranged product walls, from neatly lined-up pens to colour-coded sticky notes. Its stores feel practical but also playful, mixing useful daily essentials with quirky finds and limited items that encourage browsing and often repeat visits.
One-Year Pop-Up
The Hong Kong return will take the form of a one-year pop-up at Shop 141 on Level 1 of MOKO, Mong Kok East, with the opening expected in late August.
The launch is reportedly being handled by YAICHI, the local distributor behind Japanese lifestyle brand 3COINS.
Shoppers will find items across five core categories: health and beauty, home and lifestyle products, selected Japanese food, stationery and paper goods, and seasonal gifts — without needing a flight to Tokyo this summer.
