Kowloon Motor Bus announced that children will get unlimited free bus trips on 13 days from June to August this year as part of a Summer Children’s Tour to mark its 90th anniversary. Kids aged 3-11 can get fare-free trips on the following days: June 18, 22 and 25, July 1, 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30, and August 6, 13, 20 and 27.

Children can take unlimited free rides on more than 450 KMB and Long Win buses, except routes K12, K14, K17 and K18. Those with a Child Octopus Card should tap it on the reader when boarding, and the fare deducted will be HK$0.

Several of these free bus-ride days fall on special occasions or public holidays, with the first one on June 18 being Father’s Day and the next on June 22, which is the Dragon Boat Festival.

KMB and Long Win are among the five Hong Kong bus operators that will increase fares, starting June 18. Passengers who take all KMB buses will pay 3.9% more for each ride, while those who use Long Win buses will pay 4.2% more on each trip.
