Hong Kong International Airport is welcoming Easter travellers with a giant interactive cat art installation at Terminal 1 Arrivals (L5), Meet & Greet Hall A. The display runs from April 3 to May 2, giving visitors several weeks to stop by for photos while passing through the arrivals hall. An on-site photo printing option is also available, but it is limited, offered while stocks last, and capped at one print per person per day.

The cat installation is placed in a public area, so it can be visited even if you are not flying. It is designed as an interactive display, encouraging travellers to pause, take pictures, and add a playful moment to airport routines during the holiday period. Because it sits in the arrivals meet-and-greet space, it is also easy to reach for anyone coming to pick up friends or family.

Other Easter activities are scheduled inside Terminal 1 Departures (L6) restricted area. A local harmonica group performing with piano will appear from April 2 to 4, with daily sets at 10:00, 12:00, 13:30 and 16:00. Rabbit-themed dance pop-ups follow from April 5 to 7, also at 10:00, 12:00, 13:30 and 16:00.

The seasonal push comes as HKIA highlighted new international recognition, saying it was named “Best Airport in the World” at the Global Travel Awards 2026.
