The Lan Kwai Fong Association is hosting a two-day street festival in the heart of Hong Kong. The LKF Summer Beat Music Festival 2023, which will be held on July 29 and 30, will feature a musical lineup of 16 local bands and DJs at the Lan Kwai Fong Amphitheatre.

The event will begin at 1pm on both days and go on till late. Partygoers can groove to funk, rock and roll, retro, and Afro reggae beats, all while sampling some of the city’s best food and drink.

There will be performances by busking band TalkAgain, 90s covers by MaryJane & The Gang, and funk tracks by Funkee Tung. The festival also features live music by indie pop rock band After Tales, as well as a cross-genre rock alt pop and Nepalese folk act by Dibya Dristy.

Festivalgoers can take their pick from over 100 kinds of beers from Japan, Thailand, Germany, Belgium, and Hong Kong. There will also be Japanese and Thai street food on offer, and fresh gelato scoops to keep things cool.

This weekend promises to be a big one for party-goers, with the city also set to host its first beach carnival at Discovery Bay.
