Hong Kong has made a remarkable showing in the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2026, with The Chairman claiming the top spot and Wing following closely at 2nd. The city is the only one with two restaurants in the Top 10, and a total of six establishments feature in the Top 50. The Chairman, renowned for its dedication to Cantonese traditions and luxury ingredients, returns to the No.1 position for the first time since 2021. Other Hong Kong restaurants in the Top 50 include Neighborhood (24th), Estro (32nd), Caprice (35th), and Mono (46th), reflecting the city’s diverse dining scene.
The awards also honoured chefs across Asia, including Asia’s Best Female Chef Cho Eun-hee from Seoul’s Onjium (14th) and Asia’s Best Pastry Chef Ardika Dwitama from Jakarta’s August (42nd).
Eight new restaurants joined the 1-50 list this year, while four made a return, spanning 17 cities including Bangkok, Tokyo, Seoul, Singapore, Shanghai, and Hangzhou. Bangkok led with nine restaurants, while Seoul and Singapore each had six entries, demonstrating the region’s dynamic culinary landscape.
