Hong Kong travellers can now fit in a proper yum cha session before take-off or after landing. Century-old tea house Lin Heung Lau has opened a new branch at Hong Kong International Airport, bringing its nostalgic Cantonese dim sum experience to one of the city’s busiest travel hubs.
New Branch at Airport T1
The new Lin Heung Lau branch is located in the non-restricted area of SkyMart on Level 8 of Terminal 1, meaning diners can visit before going through security.
The restaurant covers more than 13,000 square feet and has over 300 seats, making it a sizeable airport dining option for departing passengers, arriving visitors and families waiting at the terminal.
The branch blends the tea house’s classic Hong Kong character with the airport’s modern setting, aiming to offer travellers a taste of local dining culture without needing to leave the terminal.
24-Hour Dim Sum
The airport branch operates 24 hours a day, making it handy for early flights, late arrivals and awkward layovers. The restaurant keeps Lin Heung Lau’s old-school dim sum card tradition, where diners choose dishes and have their cards stamped.
The menu features more than 50 dim sum items, alongside signature roasted meats and airport-exclusive dishes.
Special items include abalone siu mai, mushroom pomegranate buns, steamed abalone dumplings and selected drinks.
