You probably know that Coldplay is coming to the city for one of the largest events of the year in the 852. Fans will be happy to discover a Coldplay-themed pop-up store named Coldplay MOON MUSiC 期間限定店 is opening today at 11 AM at Airside Mall in Kai Tak. The store will offer special merch and experiences ahead of the band’s sold-out concerts at Kai Tak Stadium on April 8, 9, 11, and 12.
The best way to prepare for the concerts
If you want to prepare for the concerts the best way, this pop-up store will be the place to be. Fans can purchase exclusive merch including CDs, vinyl records, tour t-shirts, hoodies, headwear, bracelets, water bottles, bags, tour programmes, bucket hats, and concert posters.
A Hong Kong-exclusive t-shirt is also available, with all proceeds going to the ChickenSoup Foundation, a local charity that helps vulnerable families in the city, especially single-parent households, by providing practical support, counselling, and resources to improve their lives.
The store, promoted as “an immersive Coldplay musical journey with a range of interactive experiences” by Airside, also features a ‘message wall’ where fans can leave notes for Chris Martin and his band, and a ‘Coldplay cover wall’ displaying album-themed backdrops.
Visitors can also watch “A Film For The Future,” a short film by Coldplay featuring 150 artists from around the world discussing how music and the future connect. The film adds another layer to the pop-up store experience.
Hong Kong draws crowds with major events
The “Music of the Spheres” world tour has sparked huge excitement among fans in Hong Kong. Tickets sold out quickly, with many fans frustrated they couldn’t secure tickets despite trying several times. This high demand shows Coldplay’s enduring popularity and how much people are looking forward to their shows.
The Coldplay pop-up store and concerts come right after a series of major events in March, including the Rugby Sevens, Art Basel, and Art Central, all of which drew large crowds and international visitors to the city. Hong Kong has been buzzing with activity lately, with even more attention drawn by the recent 10-hour live stream from IShowSpeed, which attracted massive crowds across the city.
The store will be open from 11 AM to 9 PM, April 6 to 27, at G015, G/F, Airside.
