According to an entry on OpenRice, the new store is at 66-68 Queen’s Road East and sells “signature items like Mexican bread, sausage bread, egg tarts and pineapple buns.” The new bakery opened in early March 2023 and has since started serving its famous cream cones, Swiss rolls, and donuts.

Local media reports also say that the owners of Happy Bakery will join hands with Tai Kok Tsui-based Shun King Tea Restaurant to open a new establishment in Causeway Bay in mid-April, which may be named Happy Shun King.

Happy Bakery was one of several iconic Hong Kong eateries that closed over the past few years. However, some of them — such as Tai Pak Floating Restaurant and Hoover Cake Shop — are slated to open their doors again.
