When Financial Secretary Paul Chan unveiled the Night Vibes Hong Kong campaign, which aims to revive the city’s after-hours economy, he said cinemas across the SAR will sell discounted movie tickets for night shows. We give you a definitive list of the post-9pm ticket prices across the city’s various cinemas.
Remember, the discounted prices on movie tickets may not apply to priority and special venues, certain movie formats like IMAX and 4DX, film festivals, and movies for which cinemas have with special agreements with the owner.
Emperor Cinemas — Multiple locations
Ticket prices for all movie shows from 9pm onwards will be the same as the morning show ticket rates, which are between HK$45 and HK$85, depending on the venue of the cinema.

Broadway Circuit — Multiple locations
Broadway Circuit is running a relatively short promotion for the Night Vibes Hong Kong campaign. Until September 27, tickets for shows after 9pm cost HK$50, while those for shows after 11pm are priced at HK$35.

MCL Cinemas — Multiple locations
While MCL is not offering flat discounts on tickets, the cinema group has special offers until November 30. MCL MAX members can earn triple MCL Tokens when they buy movie tickets at or after 9pm, and will get a 50% discount on any snack bar package, until October 31. In addition, movie-goers can redeem one MCL e-movie gift voucher with HK$50 or 250 Club points on The Club app or website, and get adult 2D movie tickets at 9pm.

Golden Harvest Cinemas — Multiple locations
All movie tickets after 9pm will cost either HK$40 (2D) or HK$80 (IMAX, D-BOX, The Sky Vivo) until October 31. However, this does not apply to movie screenings from September 29-October 1, which is the long holiday weekend for Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day.

Movie Movie — Multiple locations
Movie Movie’s Pacific Place branch will charge between HK$50 and HK$90 for film screenings after 9pm. The Cityplaza branch will give two free tickets to customers who shop in the mall after 6pm on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays.

All tickets for movies showing at Cineart House movie theatres in Hong Kong after 9pm will cost HK$40 after 9pm, until October 31.

Moviegoers at Cinema City can pay between HK$38 and HK$58 for post-9pm shows, depending on the category of ticket they purchase.

Golden Scene — Kennedy Town
This independent cinema will charge cinema buffs HK$50 to watch the last shows on weekdays. Movie-goers who want to watch the last film screenings on weekends will have to pay HK$60. Both discounts apply only to adult tickets.
