World of Snacks will return to Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai from July 19-25. Visitors will get to sample more than 1,200 goodies, such as crispy mango rice from local favourites Yan Chim Lee and candy from German gummy specialist Bears & Friends.
The seven-day event will feature six themed zones: Chocolate and Sweet Factory, Travel Delight, Oldie Snacks, Yummy & Healthy, Party Time, and Snack Bar.
There will be something for everyone, whether it’s sweet (think “fatcarons” from South Korea) or savoury (crispy wasabi fish skin from Taiwanese outfit Tuanshih). Other treats include dried fruits, Iberica ham, and frozen mocktails.
The expo will also host workshops and activities, such as tasting sessions, and even a Zen-influenced hand-brewed coffee and meditation experience.
Tickets are priced at HK$10 for children under 1.2 metres tall and senior citizens, HK$30 for adults, and HK$20 for tourists (keep your travel documents handy if you’re buying these tickets!). Visitors who enter the venue on or before 12pm can get tickets for HK$10.
Visitors with tickets for World of Snacks can also get access to the Hong Kong Book Fair and the Hong Kong Sports and Leisure Expo.
