Uber Taxi and Cathay have launched a new partnership that allows Uber riders in Hong Kong to earn Asia Miles with every taxi ride. Since October 3, this collaboration offers an easy way for Uber users to collect miles while they go about their daily routines, from commuting across the city to riding to the airport.
How many Asia Miles can you earn per ride?
Here’s how many Asia Miles you can earn with each Uber Taxi ride in Hong Kong:
- 20 Asia Miles for every Uber Taxi trip within Hong Kong (excluding trips to the airport).
- 40 Asia Miles for trips to or from Hong Kong International Airport.
- 500 Asia Miles for new Uber users when they take their first Uber Taxi ride.
This simple reward system makes it easier than ever to accumulate miles, turning your everyday trips into the chance to get closer to your next vacation or travel experience.
How to link your Cathay Account to Uber?
To start earning Asia Miles, you need to link your Cathay membership account to the Uber app. Here’s how:
- Open your Uber app and log into your account.
- Go to the “Account” section in the bottom right corner.
- Tap on “Rewards” and select “Cathay.”
- Tap “Link to start earning Asia Miles” and log into your Cathay account to complete the linking process.
- Once linked, you’ll start earning miles automatically with every eligible Uber Taxi ride.
In the future, Uber Taxi may offer additional bonus miles and special promotions, giving users even more opportunities to earn. According to Uber and Cathay, the partnership promises to enhance the overall experience for Uber riders, making each journey more rewarding.
