CCW Global Hong Kong

The Peninsula Hong Kong is offering two ways to take part in its Charlie and the Chocolate Factory collaboration, depending on whether you want an afternoon out or a night at the hotel.

The restaurant option is open to non-residents, while both overnight packages include activities visitors would not normally get to try, including making chocolates with the hotel’s chefs.

The higher-priced package also includes two premium-category tickets for the Broadway musical playing at the nearby Hong Kong Cultural Centre.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Afternoon Tea at Felix From HK$850

At Felix, on the hotel’s 28th floor, the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory afternoon tea will be served from 10 November to 10 December at HK$850 per person. There are two sittings each day, 1pm–3pm and 3.30pm–5.30pm, with views over Victoria Harbour.

The menu includes ham and cheese with truffled egg salad and smoked salmon with caviar, followed by desserts such as dark chocolate cream with blackcurrant and hazelnut praline tart.

Each booking includes a themed cocktail or mocktail. Guests can also try a chocolate fountain, a blind tasting and a chocolate-cracking activity. You can reserve afternoon tea without booking a room.

Overnight Packages From HK$8,000 With Chocolate-Making Activities

Between 10 November and 6 December, The Peninsula has two special overnight packages tied to the production. The HK$8,000 package for two includes one night in a Deluxe Courtyard Room, breakfast at The Verandah and afternoon tea at Felix. This is a package price, not the hotel’s standard room rate.

Guests also visit the area where Peninsula chefs make the hotel’s chocolates. They can watch the process before joining a hands-on workshop to temper, mould and decorate chocolates to take home. A short cocktail-making session at Felix is included too.

The HK$10,000 package includes the same activities, plus a Grand Deluxe Harbour View Room and two premium-category musical tickets. Both packages have limited availability and require booking at least two weeks in advance through the hotel’s special-offer page.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Musical Runs Until 6 December

The musical opens on 4 November at the Grand Theatre of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre. Eight extra performances have been added for 1–6 December, taking the run through 6 December.

You can find the full performance schedule and ticket information in our guide to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory musical in Hong Kong, including details of the additional dates.

The final two performances take place on Sunday 6 December at 11.30am and 4.30pm. Show-only tickets can be booked separately through URBTIX.
