Hong Kong Tramways is opening its Whitty Street Depot in Sai Wan to visitors after sunset for the first time as part of a special Halloween event in Hong Kong. The disused depot will be transformed into an escape room from October 25-31, 2024, and participants will have two hours to work their way out of spooky situations devised by the Blue Orange team.

Event participants will meet at the Kennedy Town Tram Terminus at 7:30 pm before heading to the escape room at Whitty Street. They are advised to wear comfortable and lightweight clothing, and can wear Halloween costumes as long as they don’t include full face masks for safety reasons. Once they arrive at the venue, they will be briefed about the event and, depending on the progress of the game, might have to wear blindfolds. When the game is over, participants will disband at the Sheung Wan Western Market Tram Terminus.

Tickets for groups of 4, 5, and 6 people are on sale on Popticket and are priced based on busy days (October 25, 26, 27, and 31) and non-busy days (October 28-30).
