The last in a series of five Weekend Bazaars will take place at Tung Chung East Promenade on July 15 and 16. The free-to-enter event will be open from 10am-6pm on both days.

There will be 20 food and shopping stalls and an inflatable playground for kids. In addition, there will be a dance performance during the opening ceremony of the event.

The first three Weekend Bazaars were held in May at Sai Kung and Tsuen Wan, followed by one at Kowloon Park in mid-June. The fourth was at Stanley Promenade in early July.

Plans for the Weekend Bazaars were first announced by Chief Executive John Lee in his 2022 policy address with the aim of “fostering diversified local economic activities”.

The bazaars will also draw upon some experiences from the Gourmet Marketplace events that were held as part of the Happy Hong Kong campaign to provide residents in the SAR and visitors to the city new recreational activities.
