Each bazaar will feature more than 50 stalls that will provide visitors with food, shopping and game options, as well as performances and exhibitions. The Sai Kung Festival, which will be held at the Tin Hau Temple premises, will feature Cantonese opera performances, dragon and lion dances, and a family fun fair, among other attractions. The Tsuen Wan event will have stage performances, free game stalls, and a special zone for children.

Plans for the Weekend Bazaars were first announced by Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu in his 2022 policy address with the aim of “fostering diversified local economic activities”. The bazaars will also draw upon some of the experiences from the Gourmet Marketplace events that are being held as part of the Happy Hong Kong campaign to provide Hong Kong residents and visitors new recreational activities.
