Hong Kong residents will be able to ride tramways for free on 30 April, as part of celebrations for Keung To’s birthday. The offer covers unlimited journeys on Hong Kong Tramways’ services across Hong Kong Island.

The initiative is organised by Keung Show Hong Kong Fan Club and returns for a fifth year. People travelling to Causeway Bay can also join themed activities near Windsor House, Causeway Place and LAFORET. Two birthday-themed trams have been operating since early April.

Two specially wrapped “Keung To Trams” have been running since early April with exclusive exterior designs. They are scheduled to appear at different times and on different routes while still serving the public.

On the morning of 30 April, the two themed trams will depart from Whitty Street Tram Depot and travel towards Causeway Bay. The parade trams will run non-stop for private use, and only registered guests will be allowed onboard.

Other passengers can still watch the trams pass along the route while using the wider free service on regular trams. Stops around Causeway Bay are expected to be busy on April 30, with some fans referring to the area as “Keung To Bay”.
