Three Hong Kong schools have made it to the 2022 Spear’s Schools Index  of the best 100 private schools in the world. The index, which is categorised by region, included Harrow International School Hong Kong, Hong Kong International School, and Kellett School in its China and Southeast Asia list.

Some of the criteria for this list include a school’s academic results and preparation for university entry, their unique ethos, local and international reputation, and how well they prepare students for a life beyond academics.

Harrow International was commended for fusing “the DNA of the parent school with the best of local tradition and culture”. Kellett’s liberal arts approach was highlighted, as were Hong Kong International School’s facilities across its two campuses.

Other schools in the region in the index include Shenzhen College of International Education, International School of Beijing, andShenzhen College of International Education. The list also features well-known British schools such as Wellington College, Gordonstoun and Eton College in its UK Senior category, as well as schools in the USA, Middle East, Europe and the rest of the world.
