The Golden Trumpet Trail at Hong Kong International Airport is bringing a strong burst of colour to the airport area this spring. More than 200 golden trumpet trees are planted along the route and are now flowering in bright yellow.

Golden trumpet trees usually flower in late winter to early spring in Hong Kong. At the airport, the main flowering period typically falls between February and March. The airport notes that each blooming cycle often lasts around 7 to 14 days, although this can change from year to year, and based on the weather.

The trail is located near the Hong Kong International Airport Historical Garden area, with access via East Coast Road and Chun Kwan Road. Visitors can reach the area using airport-bound “E” bus routes and get off at Cathay City or Cathay City (East), then continue on foot.

Meanwhile, the Hong Kong International Airport Cherry Blossom Garden has already finished flowering for the season, making the golden trumpet display one of the main spring highlights at the airport right now.

If you love flowers, there is another big event to note for next year. The Hong Kong Flower Show 2026 is planned for March 20 to 29 at Victoria Park. It usually includes large garden displays and themed floral sections, and it is one of the city’s main spring attractions.
