Already in its 9th edition, the Asia Contemporary Art Show will be held from September 15 – 18, 2016 at the Conrad Hong Kong. Showcasing a wide range of artwork (over 2,500 pieces to be exact!) from original paintings and photography to sculptures and limited edition pieces, the Asia Contemporary Art Show will highlight the works of more than 80 exhibitors from Asia and throughout the world.
While the Asia Contemporary Art Show has always featured many well-known and popular artists from around the world, one thing that makes this year’s Art Show different is that they will be exhibiting many new and emerging artists, as Director Mark Saunderson explains.
You can expect engaging and intricate artwork that inspires and tells a story, often blending contrasting ideas and beliefs into their final art piece. Some artists to look out for include Du Xi from China, with his paintings showcasing a juxtaposition of Chinese cultural elements in a modern setting and Mitchell Schorr from the United States who is well-known for his urban murals.
What we love about the Asia Contemporary Art Show is that you’ll actually be able to meet and connect with the artist to make your experience that much more engaging and meaningful. What’s more, with the Art Show being located in the Conrad Hong Kong, spaced out over four floors, it gives you the feeling as though you’re walking around a home filled with beautiful art as opposed to a sometimes uninspiring art gallery.
