Kaijah Bell and Imogen Taylor launched CentreStage Studios HK in January 2016; an organisation dedicated to coaching children and young adults aged 3 to 18 in acting, singing and dancing. Kaijah and Imogen pride themselves on being educators who provide their students, of all abilities, with a positive learning experience. Their mission is to build self-confidence in their students and stimulate their interest in the dramatic arts. Ultimately, CentreStage Studios HK aims to help children and young adults learn the communicative skills required to succeed in later life in a fun and safe environment.
Reaching Out to Hong Kong’s Underprivileged Kids
In June 2016 CentreStage Studios HK will be hosting a charity gala event in aid of Chicken Soup Foundation. They are actively seeking sponsorship, collaborations and donations from local businesses and individuals in and around Hong Kong to create an evening of live entertainment, auctions and delicious food and drinks!
Chicken Soup Foundation serves over 1,100 children aged between 3 and 18 years. The children that Chicken Soup Foundation supports are from families that live in poverty sharing small sub-divided flats. Many of the children are diligently reviewed by social service workers and school administrators. Chicken Soup Foundation strives to provide children with strength and hope by providing regular support in education, health and inspiration to heal their body, mind and soul to build a sustainable future.
Summer Fun for All – Can You Help?
CentreStage Studios HK are hoping to raise enough funds to run a series of drama based fun days out this summer for underprivileged children living in Hong Kong. It is important to CentreStage that the performing arts are accessible to all children and young adults, regardless of their background. The theatre has the power to inspire, innovate, and most importantly to educate. Therefore, Kaijah and Imogen want to provide a platform for all young people in Hong Kong to enrich their imaginations, build self-confidence and to experience the creativity of performance.
