Those of you that have lived in Hong Kong for a while will understand the shopping dilemma here, and newbies will always ask “where’s good to shop in Hong Kong?” Because, let’s face it, you’ve got the mainstream high street brands and then it seems to jump straight up to the high end luxury designers –  missing out that massive middle range.

Between High End & High Street

Don’t get me wrong, shopping in H&M is great for fast fashion, but in the end you get what you pay for. And not many of us have the disposable income to shop at Gucci every week. Of course there are some great boutiques hidden around Sheung Wan and Causeway Bay, but you have to really be in the mood to browse in the sticky humid air. And we all know that feeling when you walk into a mall and see all the super expensive brands like Chanel and Dior, which can be instantly off putting, because you have it planted in your head that everything must be about that price range.

We’ve done our research and put a list together of affordable luxury stores that you will easily find in some of Hong Kong’s swankiest shopping malls.

COS

Short for Collection Of Style, this sleek and mature store is the grown up minimalist version of H&M. COS is great for cool and chic office wear and do a lot of fantastic classic pieces that are wardrobe staples and that last! They also do underwear, jewelry, shoes, and accessories and even have a section for men. The collection is all about clean lines, blocks of colour, flattering cuts, high quality and of course affordable prices. A good quality basic tee is around $250HKD and their dresses range from $650HKD – $1500HKD that won’t break the bank!
