March is Hong Kong’s Art Month, as it stages three large contemporary art fairs: Art Basel, Art Central and Asia Contemporary Art. The team at Geneyclee Gallery are passionate about promoting Hong Kong’s own up-and-coming artists and so they’re collaborating with Island Shangri-La in Pacific Place to help the city’s own creative talent get that all important exposure.
In order to show the world Hong Kong’s vibrant and active art scene, Geneyclee Gallery will be showcasing work by two Hong Kong Artists on Level 5 of the Island Shangri-La Hotel in Central.
First up is watercolour artist, Pei Chung. His captivating watercolour works are in high demand in the online world, and he’s accumulated some 180,000 social media followers and opportunities to work for major brands such as Adidas, L’Oréal Paris, Fresh, VS Sassoon, TASAKI among others.
The second Hong Kong artist on display is Adwin Yau Wai Hoi. Adwin’s life is the definition of multitasking; a full time Bank Manger, part time Marketing Director for the International Watercolour Society, and a designer for his very own line of paintbrushes. With every second he has to spare, he paints mesmerising works of art in both watercolour and oil paints.
