The World Champion Cat Professional Elite League will be held in Hong Kong for the first time at U Place next month. The event, which is part of the To Kwa Wan mall’s Christmas festivities, will be held on December 16 and 17, from 11am-7pm.

Pet parents can enter their feline friends under any one of the following five categories: Kitten (3-6 months), Junior (6-10 months), Adult, Neuter Class (CAP), and Novice (6-month unregistered). The event, which is overseen by the 35-year-old World Cat Federation, is being organised by the Hong Kong Mang Bo Club. Cats across various breeds will stake the stage to showcase their feline elegance and beauty.

The competition is also part of the mall’s Merry “KIDS”mas Dream Factory, which will have a variety of activities for children and their parents from December 1, 2023-January 1, 2024. The highlight will be a four-metre-high Christmas tree, which will be the venue for two 10-minute bubble shows at 1pm and 8pm every day. However, during weekends and the Christmas holidays, there will be three bubble shows at 2pm, 5pm, and 8pm.

Children can also participate in a wide range of festive workshops. They can choose from creating a Christmas mural and creating Yuletide artwork with pompoms, to painting on a balloon and using pixel beads to make their own Christmas ornaments. They can even build their own snowman using dough or create miniature mochi clay trinkets. Parents can even join their kids in a workshop at which they can learn more about uncommon insects.
