With its mission of popularising art to the public, K11 Group invited more than 200 diverse members of society comprising artists, schools and NGOs to co-create a record-breaking 60-metre-long chalk drawing at the Avenue of Stars to showcase the creators’ pursuit of inclusivity and diversity in the community. Participants worked in groups to experience first-hand the joy of improvisation, an artmaking technique widely used in street art, and co-create this record-breaking public artwork with City As Studio featured artists AIKO and Lee Quiñones, international animator Danny Casale and local artist Bao Ho.

You can experience their pursuit for social inclusion and diversity through their vibrant works. Local charity Kids4Kids, created a painting depicting a group of youths with different races and cultural backgrounds. It represents diversity and inclusivity of one united community sharing their love and commitment to create a more caring Hong Kong. The artwork from Ling Liang Church Sau Tak Primary School illustrated its students and important values such as “respectful”, “humble” and “selfless” surrounding the school name, symbolising that they embrace these values and are determined to spread them throughout the community. Meanwhile, students from Gigamind English Primary School drew the Hong Kong skyline in the iconic style of legendary artist Keith Haring, who committed to promote inclusivity and diversity. They hope to spread the positivity and optimism that they gained from Keith’s art to the public.
