Press Release by Soul Guide

Hong Kong’s famous Dai Pai Dong culture have become one of the most important representative of the city’s culinary scene. The all-new Dai-Pai-Dong-themed restaurant Soul Guide, with its name a homophone for “street sweeping” in Cantonese, has officially opened in Tsim Sha Tsui, boldly blending traditional and modern designs, with “old Hong Kong flavors, new scene” as the inspiration and brand image.

The restaurant covers an entire floor of 5000 square feet and can accommodate up to 150 people. The interior design incorporates the “walk-and-ghost” style of the 80s and 90s, presenting the characteristics of tea stalls such as green corrugated iron and canvas tents using different materials on the ceiling and walls, accompanied by neon lighting to create a playful and modern dai pai dong atmosphere.

Soul Guide also has an open-style side dish stall, a braised food stall, a barbecue stall, and a water bar, all inspired by cooked food stalls, displaying ingredients for customers to choose from and allowing them to place orders directly with the chefs, reflecting the nostalgic style of Hong Kong’s street food culture. With over 30 years of experience, the kitchen is led by a chef who prepares a variety of authentic Hong Kong-style dishes, including traditional side dishes, Teochew-style braised food, and delicious skewers. In addition to dine-in, it also offers takeaway services and has set up a thermal insulation takeaway cabinet to ensure the quality of the food.

During the opening period,  Soul Guide has launched a limited-time scratch card activity called “Hong Kong Food and Fun, Easy to Win”. Inspired by the fortune-telling sticks at Wong Tai Sin Temple, the activity allows customers to scratch and reveal their fortune. From May 20, 2023, to July 9, 2023, customers can receive one scratch card for every HK$100 spent in the restaurant, with a maximum of five cards per transaction. The prizes are abundant, including Ocean Park tickets, Symphony of Lights Harbour Cruise, Ngong Ping 360 cable car tickets, as well as selected signature dishes, drinks, and discounts in the restaurant. Bring your friends and family to Soul Guide to enjoy delicious food and try your luck with the scratch cards!
