Are you a business owner? It doesn’t matter if you run a million dollar company or a small one man band, in today’s age of social media your profile picture is more important than ever. If your profile photo is a selfie taken with your iPhone it probably doesn’t convey the right first impression, but don’t worry, there is a solution.
Professional head shots are often the first impression a prospective client is going to have of you, so lets make it a good one. Gone are the days of the stuffy “head shot” taken with a white background, suit and tie, arms crossed. I want to photograph a portrait of you, they do say people buy from people!
Here at Anna Bowkis Photography I choose to continue my love of lifestyle, relaxed photography when photographing my corporate clients. I believe this really gets the best from you and brings out your personality. I choose to make your session short, I understand that your time is important, requiring no more than 30 minutes of your precious time and at a location convenient for you.
Top Tips When choosing a Photographer
Ask in your business circles/networking who they used. Recommendation is by far the best. Was it a fun and relaxed experience?
Check out photographers websites, do you like their style, are they a good fit for your company brand?
Ask your photographer advice on what to wear. This is a very important aspect of your shoot. Who do you want to portray? Friendly and approachable or “I mean business”?
Meet the photographer prior to booking. Get to know them, are they friendly, do they listen to what you are asking for?
Will they offer you a selection of proofs to select from? It is important that you get to select your final images.
So remember, your business portrait is often the earliest way of connecting with potential clients and customers, so make sure you take the time to get it right!
