Pride at Lan Kwai Fong

Stride for Pride

The Lan Kwai Fong Association and Gay Games Hong Kong are partnering to bring the first-ever LGBTQ+ bar crawl, “Stride for Pride”, to the heart of Hong Kong on June 17. The event is a celebration of love, diversity, and inclusivity, where participants will visit five of the city’s hottest bars and nightlife destinations, including BACI Trattoria & Bar, Carbon Brews, Dead &, Franks Italian-American social club, and Petticoat Lane. For just $350 per person, guests can enjoy five delicious drinks and unique experiences, from pride-themed cocktails to fabulous drag shows. The party continues at Petticoat Lane’s official after-party, the “HOC Pride Disco,” where Stride for Pride participants get free entry to keep the celebration going all night long.

Eat with Pride

LKF Concepts’ six restaurants are participating in the “Eat with Pride” dining campaign from June 16-30. The campaign will donate HK$10 per dish or drink sold to Resolve Foundation, which supports inclusive public engagement projects like Every Action Matters. BACI’s Rainbow Pizza and Raviolo Arcobaleno are some of the highlights of the campaign, while FUMI, Tokio Joe, and Kyoto Joe’s offer the unique Mukai Shuzō, “Ine Mankai” Junmai Genshu Sake. The sake is made with an ancient strain of red rice called Murasaki and local Kyoto rice Iwai, exclusively sold in Hong Kong from June 1to August 31.

Next Chapter LGBT x Shin Ng Yoga Class

Cordis Hong Kong is celebrating Pride Month and Chuan Global Wellness Week in June with a series of wellness and leisure activities from June 10th to 16th. One of the highlights is the exclusive co-hosted one-hour Gentle Flow Yoga Class on June 13 with Next Chapter LGBT, providing participants with inner peace and serenity in a rejuvenating evening. The class will be led by Shin Ng, an Animal Flow Regional Leader of Hong Kong, RYT-200 yoga teacher, certified TRX, and kickboxing instructor, with stunning city views of the Kowloon district from the hotel’s designated venue.

Sitting under the RAINBOW at The Garage Bar

The Garage Bar at Cordis is showcasing a series of rainbow-themed Gin & Tonic cocktails, made with selected gin from different countries, including Four Pillars Bloody Shiraz Gin from Australia, Swallowtail Small-Batch from the US, Whitley Neill Quince Gin from England, Two Moons Calamansi from Hong Kong, Nordés from Spain and Generous Purple from France. The tailor-made cocktails can be paired with bar snacks such as Parma Ham Melon Board, Mini Burgers, and Impossible™ Sliders. The signature food truck at The Garage Bar will be decorated with neon lights of different colors, and the servers and bartenders will wear t-shirts in rainbow print to create a festive ambiance. The RAINBOW Promotion will be available daily for the whole month of June, with each cocktail priced at $110. Gin lovers can also enjoy a combo of two glasses of rainbow-themed cocktails and bar snacks for $188.

Jade Lau Guest Shift Night

Eaton HK’s Pride Month 2023 theme, “It’s Morphing Time!”, focuses on embracing the power of being queer and rejecting traditional binary thinking in gender and sexuality. The program includes over 20 diverse activities for all, including The Drag Dictionary: Drag Workshop, Ho Yuk (Let’s Love Hong Kong) Opening screening & post-screening talk,” Opening Party: Puff The Magic Drag Out, Trans Life Drawing Workshop, and a panel on Queering Bodies of Experience: Personal Narratives Beyond Medicine. The Pride activations will partner with various organizations and non-profits to focus on the equality and rights of marginalized communities, with funds raised donated to two local queer platforms, Midnight Blue and Butterfly.

Art Centric: Pride Flags

“Art Centric” exhibition this month features a series of crocheted Pride flags by Carmen Wong in partnership with Grassroots Future. The exhibit showcases the 6-colour Pride Flag, as well as flags representing the Bisexual, Transgender, Genderqueer, Asexual, Lesbian, and Nonbinary communities. Blobs and Brushes, a self-funded community art project, partnered with Grassroots Futures to create the flags, advocating for Queer-Straight Alliance and well-being for LGBTQIA+ youth in Hong Kong.

The four-day event will feature over 100 booths in two famous shopping malls – The Mills in Tsuen Wan and iSQUARE in Tsim Sha Tsui, as well as a Pride Month Party with LesChillHey. The campaign provides an opportunity for the community to come together, show support, and celebrate diversity.
