Hong Kong-based low-cost airline HK Express will give away 580 round-trip economy tickets to five countries in its network: Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, Vietnam, and Thailand. The airline has not specified which destinations in these countries the tickets will be for.
The carrier will distribute the tickets as part of a series of lucky draws over the course of 11 days during the Christmas Car Boot Market. The lucky draws will take place only during the market, which will be at Dolphin Square in China Hong Kong City on December 8-10, 16-17, 23-26, and 30-31.
Participants must register for the draw between 5pm and 9pm each day of the market, and the winners will be announced at 9.45pm. Passengers will not pay the airfare on their tickets, but will have to bear the costs of any taxes, charges, fees, and surcharges levied by the airports at their origin and destination.
Earlier this year, HK Express participated in the HKSAR government-backed World of Winners and Hello Hong Kong campaigns, the highlight of which was a 500,000 ticket giveaway for residents and tourists. The tickets were distributed on a first-come-first-served basis to passengers who made bookings on the airline’s website.
