The Hong Kong Observatory predicts that temperatures across the city will drop to a low of 14 degrees Celsius this coming weekend and then soar to a high of 26 degrees the following Tuesday. The temperature drop will be on account of a “strong northeast monsoon [that] will bring cool weather to the coast of Guangdong.”

There will be fluctuations in temperature this week, with lows of 16-18 degrees predicted, until Thursday when the mercury will rise to as high as 24 degrees. However, it will become cool again towards the weekend, with mist on Friday morning followed by cloudy and occasionally sunny weather on Friday and Saturday.

Temperatures will be as low as 10 degrees in Ta Kwu Ling on Saturday morning, but will rise again from Sunday, and there will be some rain. Last week, the city experienced high levels of humidity, along with foggy weather when visibility was reduced to less than 1 kilometre.
