Cathay Pacific’s ticket giveaway for travellers from the UAE, India, Nepal and Bangladesh will begin on May 22. The airline will give away a total of 5,590 economy round-trip tickets to passengers from Dubai, Bengaluru, New Delhi, Mumbai, Kathmandu, and Dhaka in a lucky draw campaign until May 28 as part of the Hello Hong Kong campaign to encourage tourists to visit the city.
There are 650 tickets for Dubai passengers, 4,260 tickets for travellers from India, 340 tickets for visitors from Bangladesh, and another 340 tickets for tourists from Nepal.
How to win the tickets?
To qualify for the tickets, participants aged at least 18 years old should first register as Cathay Pacific Asia Miles members before May 22. They must then visit their respective campaign pages at 12pm on May 22 and fill up a registration form to enter the lucky draw. Entries are valid only if participants’ names on their Asia Miles profiles match their names on their passports.
The winners of the lucky draw will be announced via email and on the campaign website on June 7. They will get a redemption code via email, which they must use to book their tickets. Successful participants in the lucky draw do not have to pay the airfare on their tickets, but they must pay the relevant taxes and surcharges.
How long are the tickets valid for?
Passengers who win these tickets must use their redemption codes to make their bookings within one month of receiving it. Tickets are valid for nine months following date of redemption. Travellers from India, Nepal and Bangladesh can use their tickets for a stay period of 2-7 days, while visitors from Dubai can book stays that are between two days and one month long.
Several giveaway campaigns for free or discounted tickets for travellers to Hong Kong from different countries began from March 1, courtesy the Hello Hong Kong and World of Winners initiatives. Tickets to travellers from Southeast Asia, Mainland China, the UK, Europe, South Korea, and the US and Canada have already been distributed. Cathay Pacific is expected to announce gifted tickets from Australia and New Zealand to the SAR later this month.
