Cathay Pacific is set to resume passenger flights from Hong Kong to Dubai and Riyadh from September 1, restoring two key Middle East routes after months of disruption.
The airline plans to operate daily flights to Dubai and four weekly flights to Riyadh, giving travellers more options for business trips, holidays and onward connections across the region. Flights are now open for sale, although Cathay said it will continue to monitor the situation in the Middle East before services restart.

The routes had been suspended earlier this year amid regional instability affecting Middle East travel. Cathay previously extended the suspension of Dubai services until August 31, before confirming the planned September restart.
For Hong Kong travellers, the return of the Dubai route is particularly useful as the city remains a major hub for tourism, business and onward connections to Europe, Africa and the wider Middle East. Riyadh’s return also strengthens links between Hong Kong and Saudi Arabia, as travel and business ties between Asia and the Gulf continue to grow.
Travellers planning autumn trips should check Cathay Pacific’s latest flight schedules and booking conditions before confirming their plans, especially as the airline has said it will keep monitoring developments in the region.
