Asia’s first blind-box tour — for which passengers will pay for a five-day stay in an unknown destination — will kick off in Hong Kong. Travellers will pay HK$4,888 for a trip from September 20-24, 2024, and will only find out where they’re going once they’re on the flight that departs from Hong Kong. The airfare includes a 20kg baggage allowance, accommodation, meals, and local transport.

While details surrounding the location of the getaway will be kept under wraps, passengers will get clues before they depart so that they can be as prepared as possible for their trip. The concept, called the “No Clue Escape”, is being organised by Hong Kong travel agency CLS Holiday in partnership with Malaysia-based low-cost carrier AirAsia. While the AirAsia network spans 130 destinations, it currently has only six direct flights that operate between Hong Kong and South East Asia — to Kuala Lumpur, Kota Kinabalu, Penang, Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and Manila.

Travellers interested in signing up for the tour can register via WhatsApp at (+852 6596 6835). However, there are limited spots and participants will be selected on a first-come-first-served basis.
