This year’s edition of the Hong Kong Flower Show will open on March 15, 2024 for 10 days and the angelonia (Angel Flower) will take the spotlight as the featured flower. The fair will be at Victoria Park, from 9am-9pm every day until March 24, and will revolve around the theme ‘Floral Joy Around Town’.
The event will have 55 stalls that visitors can browse through, the majority of which (42) will stock flower and gardening items. The rest will sell beverages and fast food, photographic equipment, handicrafts, and books. There will also be a floral-themed café at the fair.
Every year, the flower show has a variety of events for visitors to enjoy, such as a photography competition, music and cultural performances, floral art demonstrations, workshops on greening activities, guided visits, recreational programmes, parent-child fun games, and a plant exhibit competition. One of the biggest events is the student drawing competition in which primary, secondary, and college students can submit drawings of flowers, rare plants, and unique garden displays that adhere to the theme of the show.
Last year’s edition of the flower show was the first one held in the city since 2020, as the city’s anti-Covid regulations in 2021 and 2022 forbade large-scale gatherings. There were 42 booths selling a variety of flowers and other horticultural products, but there were no food and drink stalls.
Tickets will be available at the venue and are priced at HK$14 (adults) and HK$7 (children aged 4-14, senior citizens, and visitors with disabilities).
