Quayside is a laid-back, modern French restaurant tucked away at Fenwick Pier. They’re right on the waterfront with a fabulous outdoor terrace area (which unfortunately has been blighted by construction nearby, but this is nearly completed) and a bright, spacious interior. This is a family run restaurant and that comes across in the warm and casual atmosphere.

Quayside have a new A La Carte for 2016 so we tried a few of the dishes and absolutely loved Creamy Baked Goat Cheese Flan to start with. It was soft and creamy with just the right amount of goat cheese flavor and paired with a delicious, super-fresh salad – we definitely recommend this dish. The lobster bisque was also very tasty.

For our main course we tried the Fall Spiced Lamb Shanks. The lamb was crispy on the outside, tender and flavour-packed on the inside, and served with the yummiest, velvet soft, mashed potato. The wine list here is carefully selected and reasonably priced, so wine-lovers can treat themselves without breaking the bank. You do not need to be a committed French food enthusiast to enjoy the menu at Quayside, there is something on the menu to suit most tastes and we would recommend it for a relaxed date night or a gathering with friends.
